Merry Christmas [morning] & pretty girls.

We had such a perfect Christmas.
Santa came & left lots of presents.
We had pretty much 4 days of Christmas in a row-- but worth all the running around.
The girls definitely made out this year.. from a new dolls house- to pillow pets- to all the Disney Princess barbies.. they were happy!!

I have so many great pictures from Christmas day with our family.
I will post those next blog.

For Christmas, my husband & mother-in-law got me the 50mm 1.2f lens that I wanted.
I LOVE it. I don't want to put my camera down!
It is a big step up from my other lens and I think it really allows me to take a few things to the next level with my business.. I am definitely investing in the 70-200mm in January.

I love our big bay window in the family room- it lets in so much great natural light-- I just moved our rug out of the way and took some pictures of the girls.

Hello!

Hello friends-
from my new little Notebook.
Its adorable.

I cannot wait to Skype with my bffe Jessica in Las Vegas.
I love that I can dance while I'm baking.
I love doing my makeup while laughing at Michael Scott.

A special thank you to my hubby for this & my beautiful new LENS!
I took so many pictures.
(a Merry Christmas blog will come be next)

Merry Christmas [cookies].

I love baking, I am not the best cook but I can bake and decorate something yummy & cute.
I went to Target hoping to find cookie cutters but they were all out and all they had was this Christmas cookie press in pan.
The cookies actually turned out perfect-- except the second batch I made burnt when I lost track of time, oops.
Any way, I had plenty.
I just decided to decorate them myself since the girls were napping & I just needed to get it done.

I absolutely cannot wait to see the girls' faces tomorrow morning when they realize Santa has been here!
At least Maddie will understand..
Goodnight friends!
Merry Christmas!

behinds the scenes.

Get ready for some major cuteness.
I had a little "photo shoot" with my fave little models.
They actually did pretty good listening.. and cheesing.
I was just hoping to at least get some good shots of each of them solo-
Josie is all over the place- so she would come in the room then walk away and Maddie would pose then Josie would come back in so Maddie would move out of the way so I could snap a couple of her sister before she ran off again.
Some of these are on my photo blog but I had to share them here and some other ones too.

I think this one of Josie (below) is so pretty & so her.

I love this one of just their pretty dresses and shoes.
what would I do with a little boy?!
 love this one of Madeleine.
Josie saw her sister do that (above)
so she did  this (below)
haha Love it!

this picture cracks me up-
I think Josephine sneaked in.
& she definitely looks like she is up to something.

We have some Christmas festivities tomorrow night with my family, it will be fun.
Bry & I haven't done any shopping for the girlies yet-- I can't wait to go on Saturday!!

snow cuties.

Today was the first real snowfall of this winter.
We had a flurry a couple weeks ago but this is the real deal.
We rushed out the door this morning to go have brunch with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
In the car on the way there, Maddie was talking about how she was going to sit on Santa's lap and tell him that she wanted a Little Mermaid for the bath tub for Christmas..
but when we got there and she saw him it was a different story.

I'm not sure if it was all the pressure or the fact that Santa was about 7ft tall, but she wanted nothing to do with him.. and sweet Josie would only sit with Mrs. Claus-- she is partial to the grandma type.
So we all took a picture- cheese!!

Miss Olive was there--
looking adorable.

They had a cute little room set up where the kids could paint ornaments- of course the girls dove right in.

I love this picture of Josie, because I know she was telling us exactly what she was doing.
She talks non stop these days.. just narrates everything she is doing or thinking one or two words at a time-- its hilarious.

I was really surprised how well she sat there and painted- on the ornament!
a couple times we caught her with the paintbrush headed towards her mouth- or in her mouth.

Thankfully my husband agreed to take a cute picture of me & the girlies.

We were certainly not playing in the snow in these outfits,
just a little mini photo shoot on the way in from the car.
I know you all are adoring the wonderful coats the girls are wearing, courtesy of my mother-in-law who has great taste.. & they are very very warm!!

afternoon with the Princesses & randoms.

I have taken over the dining room-- don't even ask.

my children have taken over the family room--

my ornaments are still disappearing from the tree--

I wonder where they are planning to go--

Then comes the Princess dresses (& not to mention crazy staticy hair)

& Dancing--

I have been packing up and making Christmas card deliveries to clients that placed orders with me.

It was truly a great experience. I learned a lot and can't wait to do it again next year!
I am glad the rush for Christmas cards is out of the way, now I can take the winter/off season to learn new things and really get certain things in order to take myself to the next level.
I have good feelings about 2011, I am just going to keep working really hard and I know good things will come around! I have to keep reminding myself I have only been really doing my "business" for 6 months and I have come so far and learned so much already!

I can't wait to go shopping with my hubby for presents for the girlies. We always have a good time.
I will probably do all the wrapping, but I LOVE wrapping so that is fine with me. I can't wait to see all the presents wrapped up all pretty under the tree. I can't wait to see the girlies faces Christmas morning! Well, at least Maddie's will be genuine excitement, Josie probably won't really understand, but I know she will act excited when she see Maddie's reaction.

Well, I am off to enjoy Christmas with Michael Scott.. a whole HOUR!!
