Target run & new work space.

I really only went for wipes,
but came home with all sorts of goodies!
..cheap goodies.

like these little ceramic vases.
they were in the dollar section at Target!
I love looking at my kitchen windowsil.

I picked up a few things to decorate my little at home work space in the basement.
I like having a spot where I can sit and focus.
throw on some Pandora & I'm good to go.
this is right above my comupter, desk & drawers.

I have had my eye on this picture for a while now.. I had to scoop it up while it was cheap..

I also made a cute little pens & pencils holder out of a little flower pot.
& cut the scraps from the cardstock to use to make little notes.

I love my new little work area!

i heart color.

Once again, another beautiful morning outside with my girls.
It actually got hot!!

Oh, Josie..
this bow was not in her hair long..

I LOVE color!!

I'm not sure what she was doing, but she sure looks beautiful!

this is purely a natural moment captured between them..
sissy love is the best

look at that face..

notice how Maddie has the bow in her hair now..
I think in this picture she was explaining why she needed it in her hair.
she is very demanding these days.. [with an attitude too.] hmmm

she loves getting the mail from the mailman

I forgot to mention Josie got a little hair cut last week too!
we cut her mullet off.
but it is the cutest little haircut ever!

peace, love, cupcakes

Maddie 'writing her email' .. haha.

&& just for fun..

Fall is in the air!

The girls & I have been spending so much time outside this week, the weather has been absolutely perfect!
This morning was a perfect morning for them to wear their new sweaters.
As soon as I saw this OshKosh sweater I had to have it for the girls!! I even wanted one in my size!
I just sat on the front steps with my coffee & camera, then just followed them outside around the house.
People ask me if I pose them.. for a few things I might [like the stuff I want to put on my photography blog like the Halloween ones] Obviously I use a lot of pictures of them on my 'business' blog.. I am still new & I have easy access to the cutest models around [spoken like a true biased mama] , but most of the time its just them being natural and themselves.. & those are by far my favorite pictures--
believe me there is no way I can get them both to sit how I want them for more than 15seconds!!

Josie trying to show me her belly..

this is not unusual..

Maddie is probably being tickled by a bug..

love those baby blues..
& notice her freckle under her left eye..

Josie sat for a while trying to get her shoe on by herself..

me & my girlies :]

love them!!

Tomorrow is my three year anniversary being married to my husband. Yes, we had our big, fun, family & friends wedding in June of 2008, but we really got married [& even had a tiny family backyard ceremony] in September of 2007.
Can't believe it been three years already!

I'm sure everyone is just as excited for the Big Brother finale tonight, right?!
I'm one of those crazies that gets really into it.
I think Hayden will win-- maybe Enzo-- maybe Lane--OOh.. I don't know I keep going back & forth!!
[sorry if you don't know who I'm talking about- tune in next Summer]

Last but not least I am working on something that could be potentially a big thing
& definetly very very exciting.. I will share soon enough, but that means you will have to check back soon for updates!!

Ballet class.

I can't believe I haven't posted about Madeleine's ballet class! Life is just getting away from me..
well not really I just have been living it!
Last Thursday night Maddie had her first ballet class.

It was also a big first for me.. see, I have never really left her [besides family as babysitters]
in any type of classroom or anything. It was hard for me to pull away from the door.. I was literally breaking my neck trying to peek the whole time.
I watched for a few minutes as my little 2 year old became a big-almost 3 year old..
[& I'm tearing up now thinking about it!]

I feel like lately seeing her grow, hearing her beautiful words, seeing her imagination soar & her love for her sister evolve has made me look at her so different..
I thought when she was born I loved her as much as a mother possilby could, but I was wrong.
I look at her with such adoring eyes now, she is a little me.
I'm so proud of the little almost 3 year old she has become & can't wait to look back a year from now to see how much more she has grown & how much more I can love her.

It is truly humbling becoming a parent.

She did amazing in her ballet class. Miss TJ is her teachers name. Maddie was by far the littlest one in her class but she listened so well! I wasn't surprised that she didn't raise her hand when Miss TJ called her name.
She did her pliés, spins & chassés perfectly [well for a 2 year old].
She had the big smile on her face, melted my heart.

picture frames & shelf re-do.

I have been slowly working on some things around the house.
month to month-- room to room, today I tackled the girls' room and it looks awesome!
I wanted to put some fun picture frames on their walls
-but all I had were black frames [they came in a pack from Urban Outfitters for cheap!]-
I found a book of cardstock paper in the clearance aisle at JoAnn Fabrics- so I just traced the frames and glued [tacky glue] the paper on.

My little at home photo printer doesn't print larger than a 4x6 but I wanted to use these frames, so I found a sheet of linen and glued the pictures on it for a nice background.
I love the way it turned out, I love the texture it gave the look.

I also pulled this white shelf out of the closet- cleaned it off & gave it a few fresh coats of spray paint.

before:

after:

--I was going to use fabric on the back of the shelf but decided to use the cardstock- I love the patterns & colors- I can't wait to put it all together tomorrow.

I'm sure Josephine wouldn't appreciate me banging around while she is trying to sleep :]

I moved some things around in their room- put their clothes drawers in their closet to give them more space to have a little play are in there too. I love the feeling at the end of the day like I got so much accomplished!!

Labor Day weekend.

This weekend was full of lots of fun.
Friday the girls and I had snack outside and played in the water all afternoon.

Saturday we went to Alterfest [a festival they have every year in our town].
Maddie is big enough to do some of the 'bigger' rides by herself.

Next year Josie..

the girls did ride the Elephant ride with Daddy..

& Maddie won a fishy!
She appropriately named him Nemo.

Sunday morning Maddie got her first haircut!!
I did it myself.. It turned out so darn cute!
I have always said I was just going to let her hair grow, but I decided it was time to get rid of the baby hair & then let it grow. She looks like such a big girl, I love her new do.

Maddie was playing teacher so I just kept snapping.. she wanted her picture taken with her Alphabet poster.. & whats with this smile, haha, she has been doing this lately .. still the cutest.

& one with her bear.. & again with this smile.

her students..

her shoes..

Today we spent the afternoon at the pool, thankfully it warmed up a little bit for us!
This week is going to be full of working.. working on editing photos, working on my business, & working around the house... maybe I should add working out in there because I ate so much this weekend!!

Hope you all had a beautiful long weekend too!
