Felt Hair Clips.

I made these little clips last minute before our trip. I was so easy to throw these together & I have never done this before! I just made a trip to a craft store for some colored felt and little hair clips.

1. Cut out some felt to fit on the outside of the clip...

2. Cut out whatever shapes you want to make for your clip...
.

3. I stitched the shapes on and added a little detail around the outside.

4. I don't have a picture but I sewed the felt to through the holes on the clips [make sure you only go half way through the felt so it doesn't show on the other side] then I used a little hot glue to glue on the back. Just cut out the same size clip shape as the front, then cut a little slit in it and pulled the back part through.

{ if that is confusing let me know}

..the final product..

Like I said I have never done this before, so that's how easy it is!
I love the way the first one turned out, so I just kept going.

.. and made all of these..

I decided Josie needed one too, so I just used a headband that
I never used on her and added a little flower..

Well.. tomorrow afternoon we leave for Disney World! We are almost all packed & getting anxious for the plane ride... well maybe its just me getting anxious.
Can't wait to share our magical experience with you!!

Froot Loops & Laundry.

Fruit Loops & laundry this morning. I'm not going to the grocery store before we go out of town so today and tomorrow we might be living off of sandwiches and cereal. Maddie had some for a snack too, yummy!!

[notice, we tried some pink nail polish the other day & didn't last long]

Then she let me get some pictures of her big blue eyes:

2 Days until Disney World!!

We have been catching up with our Princesses this week.  I have the girls and myself about 80% packed, just have to run out tonight and get a couple last minute things. I think this is the first time we are traveling that I won't be up until midnight the night before still packing, what a great feeling!! Madeleine and I are putting together a "Maddie's essentials packing" list we will share with you later.

Going Green for Lent.

I have been thinking about what I should give up for Lent..
Diet Coke? I'm too reliant on that. Chocolate? Um, I would but we are going on vacation next week & that calls for lots of goodies. Then I came across this article about going green for Lent. That is a great idea, and this will work for the whole family.

Here are some ideas on things you can do : 9 things you can give up to help the enviroment.

         {hang laundry instead of dryer}                                      {use canvas bags for shopping}

Even the easiest things like hanging your clothes to dry (even though our outdoor weather is not that nice inside works just as well) or using a canvas bag or two when you do your shopping can make a difference.
We are going to try a couple ideas each day, & who knows, maybe they will stick. I'm sure there are lot of things that will go along with this theme that we can come up with too.

Super cute.

I don't have a little boy, but I couldn't help but drool over these little outfits I saw at Target the other day.

I love the DwellStudio for Target line, but they only go up to 6 months size.

Wedding Pictures.

I was just looking through some wedding pictures. Thought I would share some of my favorite. Photos were taken by amazingly talented Carmen at Blink of an Eye Photography. These are just a few of the 100s of beautiful pictures she took.

Maddie & I getting ready with the girls. She was 5 months old.

Bry getting ready with his guys. So handsome.

Our rings.

I love the one on the left of Maddie & I. Isn't her dress beautiful?!

This was right before our reception, we were having a little fun!

This was before the wedding. We went the the park where Bry proposed.
Our wedding day was a perfect sunny day in June.

<3.

After the ceremony. Bubbles!!

& more bubbles!!

Me with all my bridesmaids. Above & Below.

Libby, Paige, Jessica, Me, Sarah, Hannah, Stephanie & Kristine.

Love this shot!

Right before we went in for the reception the sky got really dark and made for some gorgeous shots.

.. They say it is good luck if it rains on your wedding day. We had a glass ceiling inside where our reception was, it was perfect!

& Our cake. Yummmmmy. I don't even remember the flavors of the layers [is that awful?!] but the buttercream icing was to die for!

I will have to go through some more and add some later!!

Don't Forget...

5 Days Until Disney World!!
Maddie can't wait to have breakfast with Pooh Bear & Piglet next Monday!!

The Countdown Has Begun!

7 days until Disney World!
I thought the 7 dwarfs were a perfect way to start off the countdown!

My sister-in-law and I took Madeleine to get her first pedicure today. I took a picture [on my phone] of our piggies after they were painted. We both picked the color Dim Sum Plum from OPI's new Hong Kong collection & Maddie got sparkles too. I really wanted a fun color from the Alice in Wonderland line that would have been appropriate for Disney, but the place we went didn't have any!
Always have to have your toes ready for the beach!

Happy Valentine's Day !!

Matt, Liz & Madeline.

Do you ever just get lost in a blog, an hour goes by and you don't even notice?!
Well, today I was just looking around and was so touched by this story from Matt, Liz & Madeline.
You should start reading HERE, but I will warn you, if you are an easy crier, this one will get ya.
It is so touching though. Give your loved ones an extra squeeze today.

For your Sweethearts.

We made our Valentine's today!
We used white paper lunch bags and some red & purple paints.
I cut out hearts from sponges for the painting.
We are going to make candy cane hearts, brownies & put some Hershey's kisses in them and deliver them tomorrow to some of our favorite people.

This cute idea was inspired by Darby, she always has great ideas. I had these candy canes leftover from Christmas, and this is perfect use for them! I heated the oven to 240 degrees and watched them until they melted. Then I pinched the ends together, make sure you take them off the hot pan or they might melt.

Next we made the brownies.. and make sure you have a toddler handy to lick up any spilt brownie mix.

I used a heart cut out & some yummy dark chocolate icing on the brownies. Then wrapped them in saran wrap and topped that off with a curly tie.

We added some Hershey Kiss Hugs to the bags too.

The final product..

Add a cute little saying [You're Sweet- get it? with all the sweets inside!] and some pink ribbon & they are ready!!
